TECHNOLOGY
how technology has influenced
my education
Almost everything I do in school requires a computer. Whether that's schoolwork, designing yearbook pages, making digital art, taking tests, writing essays, or checking grades... everything requires some type of technology.
I am also taking two online courses this semester. One dual enrollment and one through Ravenwood. The ability to do the courses through a computer is an amazing opportunity I'm able to do through the incredible world of technology.
In today's age, everything revolves around technology, especially in the education world. As I prepare to go into college, specifically at UTK, learning and doing school work from a computer becomes even more crucial. Possibly going into a career path that involves designing and creating through technology makes this whole world of computers and devices even more important for me. Having my own personal computer would allow me to do school work and succeed in college next year.

J.J.'s Cupakes
more about my cupcake business
I started this business at 12 in order to go on a mission trip to Ethiopia where two of my siblings are adopted from.
In just two weeks I was able to raise the money through cupcake orders. I was soon featured in The Tennessean, NBC Nightly News, and I got flown out to New York to bake on the Rachel Ray show.
This time in my life taught me a lot about the real world and it furthered my artistic and business skills. It can be tied to technology because I learned how to brand myself and my cupcakes through social media. I can apply these skills to a future in the technological arts.

My digital art piece of my brother, Hutch, won a gold key through this competition. It was in the Frist center at Cheekwood in Nashville for the month of February 2022.
I was honored by this accomplishment and award and is an experience I'll never forget.
WHAT THIS SCHOLARSHIP MEANS TO ME
education
I could further my education in college with a computer. My desired major, Graphic Design, is required to have access to a personal computer to create art and enhance my education
art
It would allow me to further my artistic skills in my free time and grant me access to the internet's world of inspiration and tutorials. This includes photoshop and adobe illustrator.
connections
It would allow me to communitate with people, professors and other artists to enhance my skills. I could also access social media on a larger platform to share my work.
